David Thomas Sckrabulis

David Thomas Sckrabulis holds a B.F.A. in Photography with a video/film concentration from The Maryland Institute College of Art. He studied film production at the New York Film Academy and The University of Maryland. At a young age, David studied painting under the guidance of fine artists such as Joe Giordano and Bob Landström. He consistently exhibited and received awards for his paintings and drawings. David has worked as writer, director, producer, director of photography, and editor on short and feature length films produced in the greater Baltimore/Washington area and New York City. He formed Eight Eye Productions, Inc., an independent film production company, which has brought together talented writers, filmmakers and actors who collaborate on a variety of projects.

David was co-producer and director of photography for Do Not Disturb, a short thriller that premiered at the Frederick Film Festival, June 2003. He was the director of photography and editor on The Legacy of Walter Wentworth, a 48 hour short film that premiered at the Baltimore Creative Alliance in December 2002. The Return, a film directed, produced and edited by David premiered at Visions Cinema and Bistro, Washington, D.C., May 2003 was awarded best costumes in the 48 Film Project. Another short-film, The Costumers, produced, directed and edited by David premiered at the Charles Theater in Baltimore, May 2003.

Morgan Frenzi, a feature film by David Sckrabulis and produced by Eight Eye Productions, Inc. is currently in post-production and due to hit festivals in the summer of 2004. Mini Van, a short film for which David was director of photography, is also in post-production. David also works as cameraman for local television and commercial video productions.
